"Network Error" encountered when trying to update selection in previous day's check-in

The Daily Check-in uses a Goal Tracker. The default selection for the first question is set to No. I have been forgetting to change that to yes for days where tasks have been accomplished. When I go back to a previous day's checkin to update the entry, since it was supposed to be a Yes but set to No by default, I encounter a "Network Error" with a red cross icon. It doesn't let me save the change.
